David L. Thornburg is the author of the Oak Valley Secrets series, clean romantic suspense with a touch of faith set in a fictional small town. A lifelong Oklahoma boy, he doesn’t have to look any further than his home state for colorful characters, vivid settings, and bizarre history.
He always wanted to be a writer, but his path led him from the corporate jungle to education; his coolest job – next to novelist – was managing a record store in the early 80s. He can still name the title and artist of almost any popular song, provided it is at least 40 years old.
When not writing, David can be found hanging out with his first reader, AKA wife Kelly, or any combination of his four grown sons. He has a dog the size of a small horse and likes Star Trek more than he should. In their day jobs, David and Kelly work with Special Needs students at a public school.

I bought this book, The Reverend, because I like mysteries and I'm also part of the Clergy. It was a relaxing read and I enjoyed the plot twists all along the way. I highly recommend this book.

Primmy Song is a good story. It explores an element of the future that I hadn't considered before while invoking thoughts of compromise, being true to oneself, and the pursuit of contentment.
I enjoyed this bitter-sweet, futuristic love story (Primmy Song). Peter Simonsen is a hotshot music producer and innovator who comes to believe his own hype., Too late he learns that the same "do it my way" attitude that propelled him to fame and fortune in the business has a downside with serious unintended consequences.

The writer did an exceptional job of pulling you into the story (Faustball) through the description of the location as well as the background of Marvin Minton. You felt for Marvin and the fact that his dreams never came to full fruition due to one mistake that colored the rest of his life. I also like the way the film seemed to mirror Marvin's life.
